Border might be the most spawn-peek-dangerous map in the rotation. The community has graded 13 peeks here, including an S-tier balcony angle and an aggressive runout — and the map's short sightlines off spawn mean attackers have very little time to react to any of them.
The second-floor Armory balcony is Border's signature peek and holds an S grade. It gives defenders a commanding early angle that catches attackers almost immediately off spawn, and even teams that know it's coming struggle to punish it cleanly. If it isn't pre-aimed, it's a free pick.
Graded A, the Gen door runout is the aggressive option — a defender briefly leaves the building to take a fight attackers don't expect that early. Runouts live and die on surprise and timing: use it sparingly, because a team that's seen it once will be waiting the next round.
Tellers window carries an A grade on the first floor, backed by Passport door, Main entrance and Prison wall in the B range. Border's lower floor produces quick, close-range peek fights — lower commitment than the balcony, and effective at chipping the attack before it organizes.
Armory balcony must be pre-aimed or smoked every round — treat it as non-negotiable. Hold an angle on Gen door for the first ten seconds to punish the runout, and only then start your approach. Border rewards patient openings more than almost any other map. See the attacker view for exact positions.
